Appreciate art thanks to your smart TV.
There’s an attractive trend in the world of smart televisions this year: TVs that double as works of art. Samsung started it with its The Frame TV, which displays artworks when it’s in standby mode, and now a whole host of firms are offering similar features. At the top of the market are LG’s excellent OLED sets with their Gallery Mode. But you don’t need to spend huge sums to get an artwork-ready TV: Amazon’s Fire TV Stick comes with an ‘Ambient Experience’ mode that can display art and photos on any compatible TV.

A smarter pair of specs
Glasses can now do far more than help you see better.
Facebook’s parent company Meta really wants you to wear a pair of smart glasses. Its Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses are aggressively priced at £299 and Meta frequently creates celebrity and fashion versions too to help raise the specs’ profile. Available in clear, transition and tinted versions, and featuring some of Ray-Ban’s most popular frames, the Meta smart glasses have built-in cameras, Meta’s voice-controlled AI assistant and music playback. They also offer hands-free telephone calls via your phone. And, of course, you can get them made up to your prescription too.

Joining the fold
Apple is set to add to the flip phones currently on offer, though patience is required.
One of the worst-kept secrets in technology, the folding iPhone, is coming – though you won’t be able to buy one this year. While firms such as Samsung, Google and Motorola already offer very impressive folding smartphones, such as the Samsung Galaxy Flip 6 pictured here, Apple’s taking its time: the phone, which tech watcher dub the iPhone Flip, is currently expected to arrive in the autumn of 2026. And when it does it won’t be cheap: insiders say it’ll have a price tag of around £2,000.
