Built in 1876, Roaches Hall (originally Roaches House) has a rich past. The house once served as a hunting lodge for Sir Philip Brocklehurst. Adding to its fascinating history, Sir Philip’s brother, Henry Courtney, even established a small zoo on the grounds, featuring exotic animals like yaks, llamas, deer, and wallabies.
